PhD Thesis Prize
The conference will host the traditional prize for the best PhD thesis defended between June 2025 and May 2026.
Interested candidates for the PhD Thesis Award are invited to use this form no later than June 6, 2026, to submit the following:
A copy of their PhD thesis
Reviewer comments to their thesis
A two-page summary of the thesis
A CV
All submitted materials must be fully anonymized (including the title page, references to the local Ethics Committee, citations of previous publications by the candidate’s research group, etc.), except for the names of the reviewers.
NEWS: This year we'll introduce a new evaluation system. The submitted theses will be evaluated by a dedicated review panel, which will select the finalists based on scientific merit and originality.
As in previous years, the top five PhD theses will be selected, and the authors will have the opportunity to present their work in a plenary session. Among these five finalists, a dedicated committee will vote for the two winners, who will each receive a prize of €1,000.
All participants must register in advance with AIP Sperimentale as affiliated members.
Travel Grants
Fifteen travel grants, each worth €200, are available for young members who plan to attend the conference and present a contribution as first author. Priority will be given to applicants coming from locations farther from the conference venue.
Applications must be sent to aipsperimentale@gmail.com and should include the abstract of the contribution submitted to the conference, along with a brief curriculum vitae. Deadline is 19 April 2026 (as for the call for submissions).
